APSAC is submitting this amicus brief to assist the Court in understanding the perspectives of children who disclose maltreatment and of mandatory reporters—such as teachers, doctors, and social workers—who have a statutory duty to report it. Both children and mandatory reporters act with the primary purpose of protecting against further harm.
